A novel approach to effective and effectual discussion on topical issues.

Let's debate is a property of Topitup Media and Communications Nigeria set up to allow participants to ventilate without being insulting on issues that may appeal to them.

It's set up for robust and exhaustive discussions on potent and pertinent issues about life and living.

Apart from allowing participants to speak straight from their minds unhindered and completely voluntary, participants will also be appreciated by way of cash earnings for their straight from the heart contributions.

Each contribution is weighted on a scale of 5 with the highest score being 5 and the lowest score being 0

The earnings are as follows

A weighted score of 5 attracts an earning of 10 coins

A weighted score of 4 attracts an earning of 8 coins

A weighted score of 3 attracts an earning of 6 coins

A weighted score of 2 attracts an earning of 4 coins

A weighted score of 1 attracts an earning of 2 coins

A weighted score of 0 attracts no earning

(A coin is equivalent to N0.005)

The summary of each debater's activity shall be made on monthly basis and debaters that reach the payout sum of N500.00 shall receive their earning straight into their local bank accounts.

Rules of Engagement

1.      Every participant must be 18 years and above

2.      Every participant MUST be a registered member of the Debating Forum

3.      Each participant shall take a position (for or against) on the topic for debate with his or her first contribution on the topic

4.      Each participant shall have 3 earning chances to contribute on any trending topic

5.      Each participant is expected to maintain his or her stand all through the debate on a particular topic

6.      Contributions to debate topics must be "straight from the heart" - no copy and paste, no google response and no recycled responses shall be accepted

7.      Uncouth and insulting languages and disposition are not welcome on the platform; defaulters shall be removed from the list and shall lose their earning (if any)

8.      Mode of communication is simple English (not pidgin or broken)

Participants shall be held liable and responsible for whatever they put up on the platform

This is a social service taken up by the TMC at its own expense and so the TMC reserves the right to continue or discontinue the service and cannot be taken to task over any of such decisions.

The TMC shall also not be accountable to anyone except as the Directors may choose on issues bordering on this social service including the sourcing of debate topics, and the appropriation of weights to the contributions.
